2006 scion tc led help

Was wondering if i can take off the 12v cigarette lighter and install 12v led strips with remote to the cables instead od buying the adapter

I don't see why you couldn't. I removed my cigarette lighter and plugged the port, then tapped into it's power source for my boost controller.

Would i just connect the led strips directly to the wires or would i have to put something else. Im new at this its my first car so idk much. Well all cigarette lighters are 12v/120w and i know how to strip and wire them together just dont know ifi could connect it wire to wire or would i need a 12v controler. Idk i just complicate thing.

What is this 12 volt controller you're talking about? Do you have the model/part number for what you're installing? Is it just a strip of LEDs? Can you post a picture, so I have a better idea of what you're installing?

I plan on buying this

Wiring is pretty straight forward, Novakid. Connect the 12v source, from the cigarette lighter leads if you prefer, to the 5-24v leads on the controller. Connect your LED strip to the 'led' end of the controller.
