I was driving home a few days ago and was speed at a red light. I shifted into 1st and felt the shifter kind of fall forward like it was disconnected. It would move forward and backward but not side to side at all. I had to drive it home in first gear. What could be the problem. I've been told it could be the slave cylinder or a cable. Any ideas?
