Default Anybody have a static problem with their tC?

Does anybody else have a problem with static buildup in their tC? I'm sure everyone has felt it from time to time, like when you get out of your car and touch the edge of the door to close it and you get a static shock. It's probably no big deal, but it's like every single time I get out of my car lately. I'll probably mention it when I take it in for my first oil change and I'm sure they'll tell me it's nothing, but I was just wondering if anybody else has this problem?

Shocking isn't it?

Just keep a finger or hand on the metal latch when you're getting out of the car and you won't be shocked. It's that metal loop thing of the door locks. (It's not on the door)

I wonder if a grouding kit would help with that?

Doesn't dry air make the static worse?

I have noticed it mostly when buffing my car.

it's all the weather.. it'll happen with pretty much every car.

grounding kit won't do anything from not shocking you.

it's not the car. You gotta pick up your feet when you walk. When you drag your feet, especially on carpet, you gain that static electricity and the first metal or partial metal object you touch...ZAP!!!

my sis had complained about the shocking issue. i don't think it's any worse than any other car, but i do think the fabric of the interior does make it easier to build up static. is the fabric made of polyester?

I noticed that the shocks are stronger, but not more frequent.

that's kind of what I was thinking. I dunno what it's made out of, but I honestly don't think I've seen a similar material before in a car. as for suede, that's what I want to do... if I didn't have a million other things to do to it first! sometimes I feel like this car will never be done, but maybe that's a good thing? keeps me interested.

Haha, I used to get shocked all the time. Now, I let my fiance get out of the car before me. She gets shocked, I don't.
