I'd be interested in development of what the VW crowd have had for quite some time...
They had panoramic mirrors that were normal for the first 3/4 and then the last 1/4 transitioned to a wider view, almost eliminating the blind spot and looking totally OEM.
I hope someone looks into this.

^^^ that sounds pretty cool, but in the mean time, I use the round mirrors on all 8 cars I've owned... they"re great! no blind spots, u can see the lines on the ground when parking, and you NEVER have to look over your shoulder! put 'em on
If you adjust your mirrors properly there should be no need for those little mirrors. How to set your mirrors: http://cartalk.com/content/features/mirrors/
good article i found in this thread on this forum Scionlife thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ht=set+mirrors
Its amazing what a little reading can teach someone.

I don't think there's any shame in getting one of the circular stick-on mirrors so you can see in your blind spots. I have a Tacoma now, and I noticed when I test drove the tC that it had a lot more blind spots than I was used to.
I might put one on my driver's mirror until I fully get used to driving the tC. I saw them for less than $5 at AutoZone.

If you have an xB, you can align your mirrors per all the "no blind spot" instructions you can read, but you will still have a slight blind spot on the right side. Bubble mirror takes care of it. Better to be safe than sorry....besides you are driving with maniacs like RockBlocker! [read previous post by Rock].
I bought them even though I knew about how to set up the mirrors to eliminate blind spots. I figure it'll guarentee I won't miss any blind spots and it helps with parking when backing up and watching the curb.
Eiso--> I too set my mirrors the way you do, I don't use the lil round mirrors "just to be safe", I can see the parking lines and the curb without moving my head an inch, they are very effective for many reasons, not just blind spots.
Given the fact that we are driving very small and comparatively flimsy little cars, the use of bubble mirrors to prevent any blind spots is the least we can do to defend ourselves from the gaz-guzzling monster trucks and SUVs out there. Good luck and safe driving.
i have my mirrors set so that by just glancing a little in each direction i can see the front end of the cars before the rear end leaves my mirrors. works just fine for me. also i drive fast enough that hardly anyone passes me.
kids don't try that at home

I think if you cannot turn your head around and check for traffic before switching lanes, you should not be on the road. Adjusting your mirrors properly is key but it's basic driving 101 to *also* turn and check your blindspots. There's no replacement for turning your head to make double-sure.
Also, yes, IMO, they look really retarded.
Also also, I agree with grymson, just drive so fast that everyone is waaay behind anyway...
