brakes messed up??

OK some time when i hit my brakes my steering wheel feels like its turning?? IS there anything wrong? FEELs like one brake is stronger than the other.ITs very slight but very noticble..

moriarty 06-16-2005 01:57 AM

i think i have noticed that as well. it seems to be a normal thing.

but, if you do have a concern you should take it in to the dealership so they can have a look at it.

Lonely_Raven 06-16-2005 02:08 AM

Agreed. Braking should not make the car pull to one side!

miamibusta69 06-16-2005 02:24 AM

ITs only sometimes.. mayb its cuz of the road? All i know is i hate dealing with those dummys at the dealerships uggghhhh

tc05 06-16-2005 03:14 AM

its normal i had the same issue on my 98 eclipse it may because of the road, but no big worry unless you start seeing irregular wear on your brakes and rotors

nizzle 06-16-2005 03:43 AM

yeah i think its normal.

it's happened on almost every small car i've driven: civics integras tc , even accord

but for some reason i have yet to experience that on bigger car's like the toyota rav4 and 4runner

miamibusta69 06-16-2005 03:53 AM

if the brakes are not hit to hard the front do most of the braking power thats probly it.. If so but what do i know thankz for replys guys

if you're on a smooth road.. meaning, no ruts in the road.. and you hit the brakes, it pulls to one side, it could be a caliper on the brakes that is creating too much force, or the other too little.. hence the pull to a certain direction..

on the other hand.. if you have ruts in the road and hit the brakes.. it will find the "crown" of that rut and pull you in that direction.. this i've had.. it's like.. welcome to low profile tires..

miamibusta69 06-16-2005 03:38 PM

THat is it ON perfect roads never .. when there is like lil holes ans ____ and you hit the brakes it feels like ur tire is slipinng into it. just seemed weird cuz the tire is much bigger than the lil cracks.

tc05 06-19-2005 02:26 PM

the reason you feel it on big trucks becaue the tires are wider o they dont fall into the road grooves left behind by bigger trucks, normal feeling unless you see wear or it happens on smooth road like he said
