A/C on zaps ?? HP?
When the a/c is on, how much hp do you think is used?
My guess is 10-12. What do you think? |
well its DEF noticeable..
|
yea sounds about right also it might depend on if you have manual or auto trans.
|
Just curious. I really hate the power loss, though.
It was terrible on my 106hp civic. I thought it wouldn't be too bad on the tc. Its not, but its still noticeable. I'm sure on an automatic it wouldn't be so noticeable. |
approx. 159.

hmmm...hey, since my car is getting dyno tuned tomorrow morning, should i ask for them to do a pull with the a/c on just to see? LMAO ofcourse, doesn't the A/C turn off under full throttle to maximize acceleration?
|
i dont know if the A/C itself shuts off but i believe the compressor stops running...same thing i guess.
and you prob wont even notice a diff. your looking at around a 5HP or less loss. i would be really surprised if it was above 10. |

like i said, you prob wont notice...
when dynoing a car there are so many variable to take into account, each run is not going to be exactly the same, so the A/C debate being proven by a dyno is pretty much irrelevant. |
yeah i'd say 5hp or so, but definitely run the test with the a/c on and off. Very cool to find out, I've always wondered!
