Default Cleaning the inside of the back window

Anyone know the best way of cleaning the glass? I use Stoner Invisible Glass for everything else, but I'm worried about spraying it on the defroster elements in the back window. I've never had a rear defroster, so I might be overcautious, but I wasn't sure if it was safe to use, or if there was a special way I should be cleaning.

You can use the Invisible Glass cleaner on the back window. It will not injure the defroster. I have been using it for years and never had a problem with the defroster.

Do I have to wipe in the direction of the elements, or am I just being a little overcautious?

Thanks for the info, too! :D

I have always used Windex. Think I will try the Stoner Invisibile. Thanks for tip. Where do you buy "Stoner"? I checked AutoZone and AdvanceAuto and they do not have. I can get via Internet but rather buy locally.

For the back, I think normal cleaning is OK and won't damage the elements. You just do not want to use something like a scouring pad to clean. Just something like paper towels.

Stoners Invisible Glass is definitely some good stuff.

And come to think of it, I DID get mine at Wal-Mart.

The only thing you have to worry about with a rear defroster is not to cut the little lines that go across - for example if you used a rasorblade to get something off the glass and cut the lines, the defroster wouldn't work past that point. Other than that, a cleaner isn't going to hurt the window unless you're using acid or something.
