Default Climate control replacement (help)

This is the part number of my climate control

This is the part number of the only one I found

Both pieces look like this
Hello, I'm new, I actually found this forum doing a Google search and it was very interesting. My question is simple, I have a 2005 scion TC in excellent condition but a week ago the button to increase the power of the air conditioning was damaged. I can't find an exact replacement that looks in good condition. I have found replacements on eBay listings that say 05-10 but have a different manufacturer number even though they look completely the same. I am desperate, where I live the temperatures reach 100 degrees and having a glass ceiling without air conditioning is fatal. The part number of my part is 55900-21020 and the part number of the only part I found decent is 55900-21021. Apparently 21020 is for 05-07 and 21021 is for 07-08. I have bought other parts such as the power windows of the car from years older than mine and I have not had any problems, just plug and play. Can you guide me if buying part 21021 can replace 21020 without recognition problems?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to cross-reference part numbers on an OEM parts site? You may find that the '21' has superseded the '20' for '05-'07 models.
