Default Cubby light? What cubby light?

I cannot find this so called light...

I'm assuming it is not the rear trunk light when you open the hatch.

Anyone have pictures?

I tried searching where the front cig outlet is and there are no lights there... nothing turning on etc...

Maybe the 06 doesn't have it?

Default ARGGGG

!$^@&^%&%@#!@#%

So my cubby light, after further research and taking off the gearshift concole and ripping some of the carpetting off, was just kind of laying there behind everything...

Apparently it wasn't even sitting in the little housing that it pops into..

Grrr... I wish I had gotten a blue bulb to match the LED enhancement... instead I have white, because I mistook "cubby" to mean the rear hatch area, since I knew of no other cubby light until just now!

Many people have simply removed theirs or like you suggested, put in another bulb to match something else.

Oh, I did... but I did not know the "cubby light" referred to this, because I didn't know this light EXISTED since it wasn't where it was...

It was sitting on all the wires, well behind my dash...

Had I known that this light existed originally, I would have bought blue...

Anyways, I emailed superbrightled.com or whatever to see if they'd make an exception for me... I don't want to pay $5 shipping for a $1.19 bulb.

I did $27 of business with them already, maybe they'll be cool...

Remove the console, pull out the light socket, switch the bulb, put it back in.

the same happened to me, the light wasn't even plugged into the little hole.

but lucky me I knew where it was supposed to be and got the blue one in there. i must say it looks awesome and matches the accent lighting perfectly! so do the other blue bulbs I put in the domes.

i see you also have a NB, I have not heard of this happening in another car before.

If you want to go in the front, you're going to need to take apart a lot of stuff. Come in from the passengers side, and remove the little clip that keeps the carpet up. With some wiggling, your fat hand will probably fit back there.

it is a#74 bulb (T1.5) 1 Watt wedge bulb. it is easier to get to the bulb from behind the console, passenger side. do not pull it from the cubby.

you can get other color bulbs here or here.

gl...again, don't pull the bulb from inside the cubby. it's an easy reach around from behind.

It wasn't THAT annoying. Then I switched it out with a blue LED... THAT was a lot more noticeable. Then i got used to it and don't even really see it anymore
