Default Fuel pump please help!!

Hello,
So I was leaving the other day to go to school and my car ran for 2sec. Then stopped it would not start. I checked the fuel pump fuse and it was blow I put the spare 20A in and it blew that too. I then unplugged the fuel pump and started it up using starting fluid trying to determine wether there was a short or it was a bad FP (fuel pump) the fuse didn't blow so I assumed it was a bad FP. I changed the fuel pump the car ran fine I drove it to auto zone then to school 40mile 60min car ran perfect. After school my car would not start it blew a fuse I then put in a 30A fuse ( I know this was a bad idea it was 11:00 pm I was desperate) my car ran for 3 min and died

Any ideas??? I'm stumped I have no idea what the problem is any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

WELLLLLL????????? What is with people... We have a million threads about things that are wrong, but we have zero solutions. Thanks for adding to the pile buddy. This was actually an odd situation, so I was very curious to see what you found. Thanks again.

This thread is a year old but I have to bump it up.
I was having the same issue as the original poster but my fuel pump is an AEM320LPH@43PS matched to DW770cc injectors. One thing about this fuel pump is the length and type of filter they provide don't make for a simple install. The new AEM filter will not fit with the O.E.M fuel suction support(the bracket that holds the fuel pump in place) or either fuel pump cushion rubber supports(this cushion also supports the fuel pump).
I used butt connectors to install the universal lead for power and ground and also reused the old pump filter due to the lack of space for fuel suction support and fuel pump cushion. Well after rewiring the new connector and installing the bracket and cushion. All the connectors and fuel tank main tube and negative battery cable reinstalled the car was cranked but wouldn't start nor did the AEM fuel pump prime.
The AEM lead is red and black but the factory leads are blue and black but this shouldn't be an issue because blue has to be power and black is always ground.
Each time I cranked the car it blew the EFI fuses meaning there is a short obviously.
Does anyone have experience with either the AEM OR DeatschWerks Fuel pumps it would be very helpful..

you said you used butt connectors? check the wiring, it might have shorted.

fuses don't usually pop like that.
