I thought my wife was doing an April Fools joke on me until I looked out the windows and there were squad cars all over the block, hellicopters circling overhead...

Someone got shot on my block!!!!

I am actually not too nervous from the shooting since it was a random act. the shooting happened in the guys Townhome, and they think he was a drug dealer/gang member....

So the chance of it happening to me since I am neither of the above is slim to none!

haha i bet. had something like there here, except we were having a party and thought they were there for us but was chasing a gunman in our area.

but like you said that's chicago, that should be expected lol, but the helicopters and all huh?

there was an a$$ load of cops on the block. The street was closed for a little while since they didn't know where he had been shot since he was found dead on 87th, not our block. But it looks like the guy was going after the guy who shot him, and then he went into shock and ran into the median and was laying on the street dead when the police came to the scene

scary stuff!! wonder if it had anything to do with the latest drug bust in streator that they are stemming from chicago.
