Default Help with pass. side sunfroof rattle not assoc with TSB

Hello, anyone know anything about a metal tapping noise near the passenger side sunroof that occurs everytime I go over a bump on the Scion tC? Sounds like a spring taping metal. I took it to the dealer and they took off the pillars and found nothing. The sunroof screws are tight (related to the sunroof TSB). They said I need to reschedule when I have more time because they need to remove the headliner. If someone had this problem repair, please let me know how so I can tell the tech. I am a bit worried about how safe is it to let them remove and reinstall the headliner. I don't know if a removed headliner will reposition the same. Thanks!

My dad's a toyota mechanic and when I had him check out the rattle in my roof he found that one of my headliner's clips wasn't in .... seems to have stopped since

It may not be the sunroof.

Check to see if the pass side seat belt buckle is rattling on the pass side seat-back release thingy.

Just move your pass seat forward a bit and you're all set...if that's it.

I had the same annoying sound and that's what it turned out to be.

in most cases ive seen, its not the sunroof at all, its the shades for the sunroof that cause the rattling...very easy fix, from wut my techs tell me

thanks for the tips. I haven't tried checking the headliner clips...which one is it? do you know the exact location?

this sound seems to be coming from the sunroof. i've checked the seatbelt tapping noise already, but that isn't the sound. it is a metal taping metal almost.

The sound is in the front passenser side near the sunroof. I can hear it louder when the shade is rolled back. The shade in the closed position hides the sound a bit.

hmnnn...
