HELP: Rhythmic Squealing Near Engine Area - 2005 tC!
Hi,
You might remember me from threads such as 'How to change wipers" and "Wear to buy car battery".
Anyways, I have noticed that since the weather has warmed up, I may have a new problem. I have a repeating squealing sound that is low but is noticeable when the car is running in park, not so much when driving, and when it is on idle. The belt looks fine. I think it was replaced recently. I don't recall ever replacing the alternator. Idle seems fine on the dash board.
Any ideas? If I need an alternator can I do it myself? Or a belt? I can't believe I used to make alternators by hand at one summer job but would be clueless at how to install one LOL.
Thanks for help! 102,000 miles and 7 years in the making!
