Default I'm FINALLY an OFFICIAL Scion tC owner!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D

finally, the wait is over!!
I believe I ordered the car Nov. 13 at Toyota Vallejo [Dan Teruel, my uncle, sold me the car... if, for whatever reason, you're in Vallejo and need a car.. see Dan, tell him Gizelle sent you..] He told me 2 weeks to a month.
Low and behold, it came in 3 weeks!!!
Too bad I was in Tahoe on Sunday, so when I picked up my car it was kind of dark... [I double checked this morning, and everything is fine!!]

I got an automatic Flint Mica with security system, wheel locks, subwoofer and floor mats. Nothing too extreme, but still handy
I also received a $400 rebate for being a college grad, which actually would have expired in a couple days, so it's a good thing I got my car when I did.... :D

I was reading the manual last night, but had trouble figuring out the seat memory... Did anyone else have trouble?
Also, I was trying to put something in the trunk and accidently popped out that luggage cover, but couldn't figure out how to do it... tried reading the manual and was immediately confused...

I've read about other people having problems with the security system and how its not that loud, but its pretty freakin loud... I hit the panic button and had to cover my ears... Someone had mentioned changing the sensitivity of your alarm? Is that true? I couldn't find anything in the manual....

Anyways, I apologize.. I'm babbling... but I'm just waaaaay too excited for my own good... :D

Seat memory: only on the driver's side - slide seat back in the track first, then move seatback to upright position.

Luggage cover.... uh... slide peg's into pegholes firmly, and voila!

First off, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I bet you're just as elated to have a tC as I am to own one. I'm just as happy now as I was 3 months ago (when I got it).

There is no way to change the sensitivity of the alarm (at least that's what Scion says). I was not happy with my Scion Security system. There have been many discussions on this topic, quite a few I've been involved in. If you want to see my views, search my posts. I don't want to get into it right now. :?

Again, congrats and have fun!!!

Thank you, Thank you!

Too bad I can't enjoy it too much right now, it's raining here in the city! ugh... hopefully the rain stops soon.
But it was well worth the wait!
Good luck to those who are still waiting!! :D

Would you suggest to someone ordering a new tC not to get the Security system or what? I still can change my options...

If i did take it off, what brand would be a better replacement?

thx,
Brett

it depends on what you want out of a security system. I have the scion security and I'm glad I got it, I dont need audible confirmation of the alarm, I don't need a remote start. Plus, I get to finance the purchase.

Aftermarket ones are awesome, though, if you want those features.
