Insurance Rates for the tC?
I'm currently deployed with the U.S Army, and really considering buying a tC when I get home. Anyway I was trying to get a typical insurance rate. I know it depends on the company you go through,
and Ill be going through this with the military, but I was trying to get an idea. For the Scion tC 2005-2008. Thanks and im a noob :loser:, but I did search forums beforehand and had no luck. thanks for your help. |
I called around about 6 months ago and received quotes from 65 to 190 per month. There are too many factors such as age, location, driving history, etc. that can determine your rate but I hope that gives you a range to consider.
|
I Pay $110 / month through State Farm, I got a quote from Geico for $65 / month.
Just don't know how good Geico is about claims. Hope you get the tC, it is totally worth it. |
95 a month.. kinda sucky for my age, thanks street racers...
|
$125/month with progressive.
|
I pay 940 a year total for FULL COVERAGE for both my 2003 Jeep Wrangler and my 200 Scion tC from Erie (note again, this is TOTAL for the two). Don't ask how I got such ridiculous rates. I won't complain :)

$140 a month for full coverage with a perfect driving record. this is threw progressive
I cant wait till I hit 25 to get the old people pricing lol |
Erie treats you as an adult at 24...
|
$410 a year, full coverage
|
I'm 20yo and I pay $260/mo for my 08 tC. I'm with allstate (TX) full coverage, still on parents policy but I got 4 tickets.
|
08 tc..im 19..perfect driving record..allstate..full cover = $600 /month
decided to go under my parents policy and changed to safeco = $114 /month |
Chichum said Erie treats you as an adult at 24... |
I was referring to Erie Insurance, not the location. And no, I live in Northeastern PA, not Northwestern :)
|
Yeah i know that you meant Erie insurance. Just wasn't sure if you were from around Erie.
|
____ Erie. They won't insure me in a car (GTI) that's less than half a second quicker than a tC just because it's labeled as "high-performance."
That call ruined my day, I had payment set up and everything. They pretty much persuaded me to go elsewhere since I am on my own policy now. |
As I've said countless times before, you can't boil an insurance policy down to a simple number- there are far too many factors. (And don't think "full coverage" means squat- that phrase does not exist in the insurance industry. Policy Limits are what matters).
You need to look at the policy features (rental/replacement coverage, etc), limits (med pay, liability, umbrella, etc) and a host of other things. I could tell you that I pay $45/month for auto insurance, but without knowing that my limits of liability are 250/500, that I have a $1 million dollar umbrella, and that I have a significant multi-line discount, since I have 2 cars and house on the same policy, "I pay $45" doesn't give you the information you need. If you want a reasonable answer, call an agent, or go to an insurance company's web site and get a quote. |
I have state minimums, I'm a 22 year old girl with no tickets and an accident that wasn't my fault... its about 150 a month through State Farm... That's through me... not mommy and daddy
|
for my two tCs and an 86, with two people and one negligent driving/suspended ticket it's 450.
