its been discussed so maybe those threads have more on it.
I know personally I am going to contact and ask my insurance company what extra I can insure for. I have more invested in the car than i payed for the car. i would hate to total it and get 14 grand or whatever bbk is.

a while ago I had an idea to create an insurance company that would insure tuner cars. This would make it easier for people since they would have a place they could go get their car insured for the full amount with everything in it without any problems and at a good price.

Damn insurance for me is already really high I couldn't imagine how much higher it would be if they insured aftermarket parts and although the idea of making an insurance company that specializes in tuning parts would be a good idea it would prob. the most expensive insurance out there.

ask your insurance company. my policy with state farm does insure all of my modifications (as long as i have receipts, and pictures of it on the car).

1. Search- it's been covered before.
2. What you're looking for is called an "Optional Equipment Endorsement"- ask your agent about it.

Well the only thing u would want ur insurance to really know about and insure would def be an expensive body kit like kaminari and rims. I made sure insurance knows about my kaminari wing because that thing costed me $700 including paint.

I have Progessive and they have an option for adding value for custom equipment. Cost varies on the dollar amount you want it insured for.
