Default Just installed my remote start in the tC

That was a bunch of fun. The Directechs cheat sheet was wrong in a few areas. Had to double pulse the door locks. Two starter wires were fun too. I managed the trunk pop as well, but it's got a secondary latch that releases when you pull up that makes it pretty much a useless feature. And, as always, the stupid ___ Immoblizer made for a good time as well .

Most everything can be tagged either in the driver's kick panel, the top of the fuse box, or at the ignition. Took me a few hours longer than I'd of liked, but not terrible. Wasn't too bad to get a wire through the firewall , allthough I have an A/T and went through where the clutch master would have been. I think any way you do it you'll need a grommet.

Anyway, it can be done, if anyone was wondering, and it's not all THAT bad (allthough I _____ed a ton when I was in it).

No pics. Didn't even think to take any.

And it's not something you want to do yourself. It's entirely too easy to mess something up there good. As it is, I probably voided my electrical warranty, and I'm an MECP certified install technician. :D

I'm not sure. The thing with it is, I think you have to be pulling up on the latch when you press the button, or else it latches back on. I'm not too concerned about it, so I didn't fiddle too much with it, but I'm sure there's a way to make it happen, I just didn't put alot of effort into it.
