Ok i called the dealer and yes it does void it but only if they did something wrong. So if the person who installed it did it perfectly fine.. then you have nothing to worry about.

yup do the right thing you don't need it if you're planning to mod your car. if you don't then go ahead and purchase it just to make you feel alright safe and sound from the hassle that may arise in the future....
i cancelled mine after a few weeks coz' i didn't need it and realize hey wtf u know i'm going into the mod thing so the hell with warranty it wouldn't cover it if i messed up something...
so ur call man, you have a choice :D

if u plan on keepin the car along time or put alot of miles on it....ull run ur basic warranty out the door!! but the basic warranty is 3yrs/36k and covers electrical and body trim pieces(including interior)
extracare, if purchased will not replace body trim pieces if they are worn out over time, so payin that money is really only covering electrical issues
like o2 sensors, things like that....
its up to you if u wanna spend that money or not
its better to spend the money on extracare than the cheap insurance versions of it, they practically cover NOTHING when claims are called in
just my experience at the dealership from day-day stuff i see

you guys need to realize that you really CAN'T void the factory warranty. if you install something that isn't covered, if it breaks something as a direct result of its usage/purppose/installation your warranty isn't voided they just won't fix whatever broke. if you turbocharge your car and you break a spring then BOOM, you're still covered. t/c and blow a piston, they won't fix what you broke, but you still have everything else under warranty.
