Moon roof?

So i don't understand my moon roof, the auto open stops with like 2 inches left and i then have to push the button again to finish the open. then when closing the roof I hold the button and when its just about finished it stops so then i need to hit it again to complete the close.

Is there any way to program the roof or no?

im not totally sure about the opening part but when it closes it stops because then its just left in the tilt position...idk basically all iknow bout that...my suunroof has been actin up to where it almost closes and then reopens itself..dunno lol

your problem could be that you just need some wd40 on the rails that get pushed down when closing, i acutally had the same problem wd did the trick good now for over a month, My problem is nothing serious but i would love it if I can fix it so it works the way its should lol

I have been under the impression that this is normal as for what the OP said. Been doing it like that since the day I got my tC.

Maybe it is normal lol idk thats why i made this post haha

Same here, been like that from day 1. There are probably aerodynamic reasons for the different stopping points but none of which really make that big of a difference. It probably had to do with the government interfering with safety standards or gas mileage. Who knows but there is nothing wrong with your sunroof. In regards to reprogramming it, I don't think there is much you can do unless you are a circuit board wiz or something.

lol im no circuit board wiz so thats not going to happen. But that two people with the same "issue" im starting to think your right rangerryda its probably normal.

it's explained in the owner's manual if you even want to bother reading it.
