Way too cool man.

I just measured the TRD rear swaybar i got in today. Its dia. is 22mm compared to the stock Manual's 18mm and the Auto's 20mm diameters. So, the manual tC owner's will benefit the most from this swaybar upgrade. I dont know of the size of the Hotchkis set. Does anyone know?

Save yourself a ton of grief reading media hype. Get the new car features book from Toyco, Pub. No. NCF264U. Sure it costs a few bucks, but you'll learn more about the technology in the car than any other resource including the Factory Service Manual (yeah, I bought that too).

An alternative is subscribe to http://techinfo.toyota.com. It's $10 a day, $35 a month, or $350 a year. They have the latest and greatest info including TSBs on the whole Toyota line. (Well, not ALL Toyotas ever made, but they're working on it).

I bought the NCF for my '93 Supra in '94 and I have never regretted it. It was money VERY well spent. (Yes, I still own my Supra, only an idiot would sell a 6 speed TT Coupe).

Just to repeat an offer made elsewhere, anyone who doesn't want to waste the hours of downloading all the stuff from techinfo can get a nicely zipped copy from me.

NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE: I cannot legally send you the stuff unless you can prove that you purchased (at least) a one-day membership to the site. Forward me a copy of the techinfo confirmation letter and I'll send you a zip (or point you to a place to download it) that contains ALL the tC related material. The entire service manual, the electrical diagrams, the TSBs, everything...

- The sunroof tint blocks roughly 75 percent of actual light. It also blocks roughly 97 percent of harmful UV rays. (Same glass and tint used in Lexus RX 330)

- The panorama moonroof has the same standard welding as a car with with a solid roof. The design exceeds federal roll-over requirements.

- The windshield has a green tint surface that blocks 100 percent of UV rays. The front door & back hatch glass provides a 90% UV-cut. the rear door & quarter window glass provide an 85% UV-cut.

- All the glass on the car reflects most if not all infrared heat rays to keep internal temperature down.

Where did this info come from? How come my car gets hot still? LOL
I really dont care about the infrared reflection but I do care about the UV. Can anyone verify this claim?

- The tC braking system is virtually identical to that of the Celica GT-S. In fact, brake rotors and calipers are the same, and most big brake kits for the Celica GT-S will fit the tC.

This will come in VERY handy...

(Note to auto owners: I'm pretty sure this means overdrive turns back on when you re-start the car, so if you start the car in the "3" position, you're still in overdrive. I think.)
In d3 it is not in overdrive because you can feel the engine braking in this gear.

I was looking on autotrader.com to see the inventory of the dealers in my area and alot of them use the color code instead of just telling us the color (i.e. 8Q6 instead just saying Azure Pearl). But if you don't know the code of the color and they don't have a pic (or my favorite the "not the actual vehicle" photo) then you're crap out of luck. So here's some help if you need it.

040 - Super White
1E0 - Flint Mica
1E7 - Silver Streak Mica
2O9 - Black Sand Pearl
3P2 - Black Cherry Pearl
8P4 - Indigo Ink Pearl
8Q6 - Azure Pearl

Let me know if I messed up some where.
This should be here...
