Powering the tC is a 160-hp., 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the same engine that's standard in the Camry. It offers variable valve timing and makes a bit of a racket on hard acceleration.
Thanks to it, though, the tC has some get up and go, unlike its two Scion stablemates with their 108-hp., 1.5-liter four- cylinder engines. PBS TV's "MotorWeek" said zero to 60mph took a respectable 7.6 seconds in its testing of the tC, nearly 4 seconds less than the other Scions.

i have the tc with additional airbags in it
-windshield pillars
-rear window pillars
-seat airbags (curtain)
do the tc's without these still have the knee airbag b/c i had to pay 700 extra for the pillar and seat airbags!!!
