Default My CSM 2006 tC

Hello all,
I finally received my CSM 2006 tC! As in a previous post, I mentioned that the dealer had screwed up and put in a 2005 audio HU, but that will be swapped for a 2006 one on Wed. So I will post up pics, gotta get it insured, cleaned up. Cheerz!

EDIT:

hope that clarify things!

EDIT2 (update on audio HU):
took about 3-4hrz for them to install(and waiting time, etc), but well worth it!

BEFORE: 05 audio HU, stock

--> AUX didn't work

AFTER: 06 audio HU, stock

--> notice the volume ****, a bit stiff at first, might have to break it in.

center console, behind the parking brake:

--> hooked up to my iRiver 320, via the AUX jack. i am using a male-to-male 1/8" sound cord. AUX button WORKS!

in all honesty, i don't see the reason to shell out $260 for ipod connectivity (well, i know i have an iRiver...) but, even with the upgraded audio HU, you can still connect your DAP via AUX, so why not just be happy with stock?

my apologies if these pics are too big, hope it gives u all a better understanding of the differences of 05 v. 06 tC.

cheerz!

SSM is still where it's at.

Congrats. Make sure you get pics up of the audio controls. I know we've seen them before, but a closeup would be nice.

Did you get the iPod inputs? Or just stock HU?

Right... it's the CSM now... Classic Silver Metallic. The SSM "replacement" ...

You can't replace perfection.

Maybe they just haven't sold their quota of FM yet and have to use up the paint?

hahaha! whats really interesting is that FM is now offered on the brand new lexus gs series. My father bought one a week or so ago. I was kind of peeved that he got a car in the same color as mine, damn leech!! But parking them both side by side, the scions appear to be much more reflective. THe metallic chips on the lexus are deeper in the paint. PErhaps a thicker clearcoat??

anyhow...sorry to go so far off topic.

Welcome to the site! Post pix of your CSM please!!

Id like to see some daylight pics of that silver (or maybe some side by side shots compared to the SSM), but it looks a little darker maybe...? Anyways, nice car!

The audio control looks "cheap" to me, the quality seems to be "not matching" the actual scion cars. Maybe its just me! No offense!

umm... sure... but then again, it could be the pics.. we need a side by side comparison to really determine that.

i was kinda thinkin along this line...but also how could scion not expect people to put audio system upgrades in their vehicles.. after all the name brand was created for those especially into car customization. i'm glad i just bought an 05 instead of an 06 cuz i wonat have useless audio controls that look outta place on my steering wheel. this seems like the most non essential upgrade if i've ever seen one.

Daytime pictures would look better...the flash at night emphasizes some things too much. How about it?
