My progress
the past 3 or 4 days I've been stopping at the auto parts store on my way home from work picking up odds and ends and working on my car from like 5p to 2am. I've been hard at work on my LEDs and I'm proud of a majority of my work with a few tweeks to come. I promised to keep you guys posted so here's some pictures
this is just the purple leds in the grille w/ camera flash on

same without flash

a few of the led strips i stuck between the bumper and the headlight

these are purple leds in the interior (obviously)

heres both the head light leds and the grille leds with flash on

same with the flash off, and my personal favorite

i wired the +wire from white strips to the parking light and the - wire to a switch under the dash. this way if i didnt want the leds on i could turn them off and still use my lights and if they were on and i forgot to turn them off, they would go off automatically with the head lights. as you can see in the pictures (not very well) i ran them from the hood part of the headlights and under the headlights and my only issue with that is you can barley see the underside lights due to their location.
as for the interior purple lights they are ran entirely on the inside of the car via fuse tap. initially i wired them to the washer fluid pump fuse because the washer pump fuse is always on except when the keys turned off but when i decided i was going to wire the grille lights to the same fuse tap i switched it to another fuse and gave them their own independent switch so i can have them on or off when ever i feel like it with out needing to put the key in at all
last but not least i wired the grille lights to the same fuse tap. and they as well get their own switch allowing me full control. my only issue is that the lights arent visible from the cabin, and i cant tell if theyre on or off from inside the car
the only changes to these lights id like to attempt are moving the head light leds to the top portion of the headligh and i would also like to figure away to wire all the lights to the dome lamp so they turn on and off with the dome as well
needless to say im not done yet. i hopped into an audi today at work and noticed lights in the cigerette lighter and the cupholders and decided that was a must, some under the hood white lights, making the dash lights purple, and id also like a rear windshield wiper too
id have posted more details (mounting locations and wiring) but i figured this is long enough already and no ones going to read it all so just enjoy my pretty pictures and leave comments and suggestions

Dont worry bout what everyone else is saying. It's YOUR car and if halloween lights is what YOU like and makes YOU happy then do it. Personally, i used to like them but im not so into them anymore. But installation looks clean and im happy someone else has joined the scion community, its getting a bit lonely. Keep up with the updates man.

well i typed this up several times on my phone but i guess it didnt go through but it was sposed to say....
i only spent like 30$ on lights, i spent like an additional 100 maybe 125 on tools and hardware but those arent job specific so im going to be using them frequently in the future. im not really worried about the payments either so as far as im concerned money well spent. please dont apologize because you dont like it, its fine, because i love it. i appreciate everyones feed back especially the positives =)
lol i only put them in the headlight/hood/bumper corner area was cause i didnt want to bake the head lights to pop em open but im content (could be happier though) with how those in particular lights came out. but i love the rest so overall im thrilled. as a matter of fact i just drove with all the lights on for the first time today and have been getting compliments on my "craftmanship" its a good feeling and its going to keep me going further and further into my car

I forget exactly but I ordered ones that were wayyyyyy to thick to fit in between the bumper and light (probably put those inner the hood to light that area when I'm working on it at night) then when I got the purple ones they were a strip of surface mount LEDs (very very tiny) and I knew theyd fit so I went out and ordered a new set but in white. Ill post pictures of the differences later
