My VIN is is 15027 and I haven't had any problems yet. I only have about 700 miles on it, though. I'm never in the car without music on, though, so I might not even notice rattles if they are there. Like everyone, the radio cover is tricky, but it's really not that bad. And it's just not the sort of thing that would phase me. Perusing message boards for various other new cars, I was happy to see that just about every car out there has people complaining about the same kinds of things people on here are complaining about.

I've had my car for 1 week now and it has 500+ miles on it. I've driven in heat, cold, rain, wind, etc etc. I have heard complaints about hatch rattles, sun roof pops/rattles, wind noise, rain noise, and some others.... I have none of those.

BUT my radio door, like others, is a bit tricky. I avoid this by just not using... I have nothing to hide.

I dont have the VIN handy but I did notice the manufacture date was just last month (9/04).

You might want to make sure the fix covered by the moonroof TSB has been done to your "new" car. If not, have the dealer perform prior to you taking possession.

I just bought my tC 2 weeks ago. I replaced the audio system with 2 additional 10" subs in the trunk the same day i bought the car. No rattles yet, and I have about 1300 miles on it.

Geez, you all drive a lot. I've got 725 miles in 5 weeks. And that's just because I took a long drive last weekend. I did notice driving it today that everything is seeming a bit smoother--not that it wasn't before, but now everything really just seems to hum along nicely. Only complaint so far is the huge dent in my bumper courtesy of a hit and run parker, to be replaced this week.

I have no rattles with my 1500 rms watts of bass... on the inside. But on the outside of the car, my bumper, trunklid, exhaust, and that thin metal sheet under the car (not sure what that's for) rattle like no other, i might as well be driving a rattle snake. I've run out of funds and don't have the time right now to dynamat the whole rear end of the car.

I got my tC in mid-august and i've had no rattles or creaks at all from any of the problem areas that people have brought up

Are tC VINs even up to 30000 yet? Mine came off the boat about four weeks ago and it's 197xx.

They're making around 5000 a month, so I'd only expect them to be at around 25000.

No rattles, pops, creaks, squeaks, buzzes or screams at 800 miles. And I just got my leather redone (they didn't do the inserts) and my power window fixed (couldn't work the passenger side window with the driver's side control) at the same time, so I'm now problem-free.

I've put over 2,000 on mine. I've had it for one month tomorrow. The only noise it makes is the very occasional sunroof creak when driving on very unlevel ground. Seeing as I live in New Orleans, with some of the worst roads in this country, I am shocked at how little noise the car makes.

Most light colored cars are bird ____ traps. I live next to the beach so it really doesn't matter what you drive, it will get seagull ____ all over it.

6K on my tC and it is rattle free--except for the creaking roof thing, but that was taken care of some time ago. It's also dent a scratch free too! :D
