Part fell off my car I think?!

Attachment 18863 Attachment 18864 Attachment 18865 Attachment 18866 Does anyone know what this part is? I just got a 2006 Scion tC 5 speed. I got on it a little bit from a stop and as I shifted into second I heard something bounce around under the car and saw it roll to the side of the road in my rearview, I went back and picked it up off the road. Absolutely nothing in the car changed after that, so I have no idea how to go about figuring this out. I took it to an auto parts store and they weren't sure. They said it might be a spacer or something for the exhaust. Its made of metal with a rubber lip sticking out. The only markings are on the front with the green dot and it says "C" and then "1". Anyone know what this could be? |
It's an external engine mounting damper.
Not sure what it really does or how it's supposed to work, but here's a link to an exploded view if you're curious. DAMPER, ENGINE MOUNTING It's part number 12351. |
