Default Power Steering Fluid Leak ?

i have an 05 tC with ~81k. Recently, i have noticed that the power steering fluid seems to drop within a week or so of filling it up.

i am not sure if there is a leak but would like to see if there is something which i can fix myself before taking it to the mechanic. there was no visible leakage by the reservoir.

any ideas on what to look for ?

Rack and pinion, pump, hoses, are possible causes for leaks. You'd have to get underneath and check

so i finally took my car to a mechanic to see if he can locate the leak. he could not locate the leak but did clean some area. he suggested to drive it around and bring it back in a few days to see if he can find where the leak is coming from. over the weekend i will see if i can get underneath the car (without a jack) to see if i can notice anything.

i also read on the internet about saw on the internet about 'power steering stop leak' fluids. anybody tried that ?

the leak my car has seems to be very small since the level drops slightly after a week or so. i have been topping it off every week or so.
