I went from a 1970 Monte Carlo to an xb thoug i still have the Monte carlo

well i sold it on ebay it a guy in sweden :shock: :shock: :shock:

but i had to give her up it was my choice and it was getting hard to find an NOS clock for her too lol and finding parts was getting $$$ and finding 'em was a pain in the ___

that was my very first car and she ran like she was still brand new :) but the rust was starting to get bad on her so i sold her :D

well i was lossing a very large trunk that i could stick many dead bodies in :lol: and lots of elbow room the xA is very suited for my needs :) i just hate where the power band is i kind of hate winding her up that high but i now know that 3 gear is the power gear ...



i'm just a regular mario andretti :D

oops forgot to add when i sold it she had 58K miles on her and when i bought her she only came with 30K in the 5 yeaars i owned her i didn't put many miles on her :D

ya my Monte is a boat and it gets about 9 miles a gallon and i drive 80 miles a day .
I was paying to go to work.

Ive been through about 8 cars before the Scion

1984 mazda 626 hatchback 5 speed

1987 Mazda 626 4 door auto

1985 mazda rx7 5 speed

1983 olds cutlass

1982 buick regal

1974 datsun auto

1969 toronado front wheel drive 4 miles a gallon (perfect condition)(sad story)

1970 monte carlo 400 hp 9 miles a gallon fun fun fun

2004 scion xb hot lava 5 speed

man 9 mpg :shock: thats crazy my FURY got at least around 10-14 mpg with a 3.23:1 gear ratio in the rear diff

well mine was rated at around 255 hp and i'm not too sure about the CR since i had the heads milled and put in harden valve seats

and she was damn pickey which grade of octane she needed!!! 93 or higher

87 and 89 she pinged like hell :evil: :evil: :evil: and had the time set at 10 degrees btc

93 octane made me broke filling up around 35-40 bucks a tank :| with a 23 gal tank

she even had a holly 2210 2bbl rated at 350 cfm with the vapor saver system about a year or two before the egr system was manditory

see why i got rid of her too much work i put into her i just about knew every thing about that car :|

Mine is a brand new 350 block with 750 edelbrock 4 barral ,edelbrockrpm airgap intake ported polished stock heads 383 gears 3 speed auto
Its fun cause it shifts out of first a 65 mph and second at 110
