Default removing dent in my hatch

i have a dent probably the size of my head or smaller on the rear hatch. i was wondering if anybody has tried the hair dryer & air duster technique before and if they thought it would fix this?

if it is not good to do to the car then i'll just live with the dent.

i have used the "dent king" before.. same as pops a dent i believe. hot glue a tab to the middle of the dent, put the brace on.. attach wing nut, and screw the wing nut down til the tab pops off the car. I've had good luck in the past with other cars.

but you're saying it's the size of your skull? sheesh, stop banging your head on the car! lol.. something like that you could use a suction cup and pull. harbor freight has stuff like that. worth a try. The sheet metal on the tC isn't that difficult to pop a dent out of.

It should work but i've also seen videos of this being a disaster. Some videos and pics so people that have cracked their paint by doing this. Wierd. I just dont trust it on a newer car. If it were older i would say go ahead. but....ehhh. idk about your TC.

Amazingly enough they taught us this in Autobody school............how it works is simple.......stamped metal has a memory........the molicules line up when they are stamped and they now know their new shape.........the dent stretches the molicules out or shape...............by heating the metal in a circle starting at the out side of the dent and moving to the center you excite the molicules in the metal.........then you apply the cold and it shrinks the metal back to its learned form from the stamping.

Problem is..........paint can crack from the temp change............and if there are any creases in the dent it will not take them out.this will also temper the metal........if you get it too hot it will get hard as a rock and not move.........we learned using a torch and a rag soaked in water.....on bare metal........but if you are not going to spend money give it a try..........
