replaceing keys scion tc 2006
Hello everyone,
I wanted to exchange my old keys because they are all worn out, i wanted to know if the tc 2006 has a chip on the keys? I just bought a blank key fob and wanted to know if i can just remove the guts from the old one and transfer it to the new one and have the key cut will it turn om the car? http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...373461&alt=web that os thr ones I bought without the chip. Yes you can swap them into a blank. The fun part is having to cut the little RFID chip glued into the housing of the old one. Some patience, a solid exacto knife or box cutter will do it.....just wear thick gloves just in case! You can have the key cut anywhere then...the dealer should only charge you a few bucks since you aren't having the key reprogrammed.
