Default Replacing the Side Mirror Turn Signal..

Does anyone know how to replace the bulb for the Turn Signal in the Side mirror?
I believe you can have it any color you want because it's not the 'real' turn signal.

I'm planning on Blue, correct me if I'm wrong? :?

Blue would be a really good way to ____ off cops. Don't do it. The last thing you want is a charge that you were impersonating an emergency vehicle with flashing blue lights. The nail that sticks out the most will get hammered first.

I was wanting to do the same thing, Tim O. I want to change it to red, though. I think it will be a little less conspicuous (compared to the blue). And I've already got red lights under the dash for the floor boards. Anyway, I look forward to some instructions being posted here- thanks!

actually u don't need colored lights to get pulled over by cops, at least in my area...just put a carbon fiber hood on, along with other mods, drive ur car at normal speed and do nothing wrong....then they accuse you of having drugs and such and search through ur car and take out everything to find things you don't have.....

its fun, u all should try it!!!!

Red/Blue + Flashing + sport car = HUGE fine among other things. DO NOT DO THIS. Yes, changing the color of the exterior lighting is fun... However a friend of mine just got a massive fine for having blue LED window-washer fluid sprayers.

not sure wut the law is on ur side of the country, but over here..any exterior lights that are red/blue, are crazy illegal, but most ppl put green, etc. and get warnings...

but red/blue LED lights are asking for trouble!!!

and yes, profiling does suck, but u get used to it after 4 or 5years of dealing with it

i still like to complain though!!!

If you are being profiled, seriously, try to get a hold of this video: http://www.flexyourrights.org/busted/ It instructs you on the proper way to handle police encounters without giving up your rights under law.

I had a copy, but I have long since lost it. I need to see it again to review. :o

I did it in queens, ny

Northern Blvd and 60th street

Just ask for Jimmy or Steve and let em know Henry sent ya! I've known them both forever and i wouldn't trust my car with anyone else!

The housing comes off with a little pressure.. I remember reading where the locking points were, but i forgot... all i know was that it took just a little elbow grease

That, and it's a FLASHING red light, AND it's on the FRONT side of the car.

Red is for REAR turn signals, and unless you plan on swapping your headlights with your tails and driving backward a lot, I wouldn't do that.

You could always go with the red arrow LED's that fit under the side mirrors and shine through...

Or, if you're going to go 'white,' as long as you have a bit of a yellow-ish tint to it, you should be fine. You can even put blue or chrome bulbs all around the car, as long as they light up tinted yellow. If they're LED's, they should sell the proper size at any auto parts store, as I'm assuming they're of the snap-in variety.

Just to emphazise again--do NOT put red or full white bulbs up there. I got threatened with a 300.00 ticket for having a 'hyperwhite' bulb in my license plate assembly. Supposedly a license plate display violation, but you do NOT want to mess around with the DOT equiptment on your car. Keep the light from the front amber-tinted, the light from the back amber or red for signals, red to pink for tails.

Edit: Although, I gotta say, the above car does look hella sweet!

Whew- alrighty, sounds like I am NOT going to put red lights in there! Thanks for the sell job...

BUT- nobody has answered the original question for this thread.

How do you get into the light inside the mirror?
