Difference?
So uhhh...is there a difference between Indigo Ink Pearl and Nautical Blue Metallic?
|
It's subtle, but yes. I believe the NBM is very slightly darker... but I think you'd have to see them next to each other to really see the difference.
|
That is so cool! Also cute.
|
I've always been curious about production numbers for the different colors. Anyone have a link to this info? Thanks.
|
IIP is way lighter than NBM
|
Im with DangerWanger...production numbers by color would be cool to see. I know with the 3000GT/Stealth (my last car) there was a site where you could type in your VIN and it would give you a whole write up on how many other cars have your color, interior, options, all that good stuff and then it would tell you how many other cars are identical to yours. Like my old 3000GT was 1 of 1,546 identical.

Question - is Silver streak mica technically inferior to classic silver metallic?
To me the colors look very similar though I haven't been able to compare two cars side by side. Just wondering if they changed the paint due to the new one being better, or whether it was purely a slight shift in color with a new name? |
Here's a SSM/CSM comparison pic for you:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...606246#1606246 There is no "inferior" or "superior" ... it's just that Scion decided to only use SSM for the 2005s and then use CSM for 2006 on. |
Ah thanks, looks like SSM has a slightly warmer tint to it? Seems hardly noticable though.
|
perhaps the final year of the current tC model should be all the RS colors? so it should be something like RS1 to RS5 (if it reaches 5 years) so 5 colors
|
I figure this thread would be the best place to ask this question:
Look at how the sun is hitting my car in this picture.... http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...13_14_full.jpg That gave me a great idea for 2-toning it. Top half a lighter blue (darker than AP) and leave the bottom IIP. I love the idea, but I'm not sure it would look good with the black rims. Opinions? |
If you are discussing about colors then it would be a good idea as to which is the best color in terms of looks+life+ageing. I think the silver as it shows up less scratches and dirt over the time. I booked a silver one as the dark colors are very difficult to maintain plus show up blemishes easily especially warranting the poor color quality. Has Scion finally improved the color quality on the 2007 tC?

I would have to agree on the fact that silver shows less scratches and marks to an extent.
