scratched my wheel
anyone know how to repair it
its not really a big deal cuz they are stock wheels anyway but any comments? i hate curbs! coming from a shorter car (corolla) is takes a long time to get use to the tC |
i did the same thing, but it was just a super small scuff on the outside of the passenger side rear wheel. even my other 4 door car felt shorter and now i'm all worried about bumping things with my rear wheels. my apartment complex has the worst random curbs i've ever seen.
but anyway.. besides for sympathizing with you... i don't know a quick fix. sorry. |
when you park, angle your right side mirror down so you can keep an eye on the curb.
|
please tell me when you fix yours... i was crying over my scratches for weeks until i chipped some paint off my bumper, then i started crying over that

It amuses me how we refer to a stock wheels as nothing, considering most really expensive ___ cars don't have nicer rims then we do :P
|
true that...used to hate the looks of the stock rims...but it grew into me and i learned to appreciate it, and now, I LOVE IT
|
re
no no, you got me wrong
i love those rims but there really isnt a solution to the scratch i assume? so i just say i dont worry about them too much since its barely noticable... THE STOCK RIMS ARE DEAD SEXY!!! |
If it's not too bad you could try sanding it down, but you can't replace metal that's gone. look on ebay if it bothers you that much for a new wheel, you should get one pretty cheaply.
|
Or look for a tC without wheel locks...
|
YE
haha
 but wouldnt sanding the wheel down make it look even worst? |
Heh I drove a shorter weal base car before also and had a minor incident on my tC with a curb luckily nothing happened (yet). I am no expert but maybe a Dremel with a light sander then a polishing brush?

Heh... first day on the job, I underestimated the length of the car and parked my ground effects front bumber right on top of a concrete parking thing. You can't see any damage anymore, but i was completely flipping out for about a minute.
It's really my fault though. My last car was a '92 Toyota Previa, which has literally no front. |
