Default Side mirror removal/installation?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to take off the side mirrors. My gf just broke hit my garage with the side mirror, and it's now about 3/4's of an inch popped out, and i tried pushing it back in with no progress. I wanted to take it off and see if it can set it back in right, also i already tried the search function and only found topics on LED changing or just cover changes.. thanks in advance for any help

on the inside of the door there's a black plastic cover... yank it off.. and then there'll be 3 nuts and a plug.

thanks man, i figured that's how you do it, but on my TL the plastic goes a little down in the door, so the door panel has to be kinda open, so i wasn't sure on the tC. The screws basically backed out of the plastic that it's screwed into. So basically i put some gorilla glue in there and screwed the screws back in, and let it set, and now it sits in fairly flush. but it's not 100%, has a ~1mm gap from the door at the top

You said it bro. South Florida could be a perfect sample study of this.

Men driving drunk=women driving sober.

BTW I don't condone either...lol

Same for me and my girl, except replace "yell at" with "punch".

Ok, well I did the same as the original poster's girlfriend. Backed out of the garage too quick, and my tC's mirror was pretty much destroyed.

I bought a replacement set on eBay but am having a hard time with the wiring.

The replacement mirror has 2 sets of LEDs (blue and yellow) as well as the power mirror motor. The car has 5 wires going to the mirror, I'm assuming 2 for LED and 3 for mirror. This is another auction for the exact mirror I have :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-07...spagenameZWDVW

I have tried asking the seller for a wiring diagram, he doesn't have one. Can anyone help?

I broke my mirror recently when some one decided to dart across the street right in front of my car and get clipped with the mirror. I was lukcy and it broke off in such a way that I could glue it back on.
