Default Sold out (sort of) for a Srt-4

Well Instead of the tc that I wanted I went for the srt-4 which I have had for about a month now, and still love it... I get compliments about the interior, mainly the seats, but the truth is the interior I am not too fond of (rubbermaid looking) but it gets relatively good gas mileage for a turbocharged car, and how I drive it... and I like the looks better than the tc, and speed is so much better. I also got this car for 15k w/viper seats and sunroof it was an 04 with 14,000 miles on it. I hope to pick up a tc in the future tho as a daily driver. I think around here it got sort of a bad rap as a chicks car, but I would definatley rock it. Its interior is far superior to the srt-4's and there is lots of potential to make it fast.

I will post pics if anyone cares to see...

I'm sure the SRT4 is a decent car (for an american car)... but I just can't stand the looks. I know it's "not" a Neon... but damn. But ya, the turbo and such would be nice.

As long as you're happy though... enjoy.

Dont like the looks and the interior is way to cramped...but thats just me.

It is fast as hell and looks good with body kits though.

I have to disagree about the bodykits... they all suck! stock form is best... and as to fast as hell yea they are quick... but once you loose your license they arent as quick, I may have to get a tc sooner than I thought due to my heavy foot...

I've been wondering if I should have gone with the SRT-4 lately. Guy came into my work with one slightly modded.......drool.

If I remember correctly it's actually built on a Mercedes designed frame and utilizes a lot of Mercedes stuff.

thats what my hardcore honda friend said until he rode in one...

I guess everyone has their own opinion, I mean a xb is just a echo...

a wrx sti is just an imprenza

a lancer evolution is just a lancer

truth is a srt-4 has proven to be less problematic than the other cars, I am sure the tc will hold up better than the srt-4, but then I would be sacraficing power, which I just cannot do. The whole neon thing doesnt even bother me anymore, because truly when I am parked next to a actual neon they really don't look anything alike, this older woman who was in a neon (SAME COLOR) actually asked me what my car was...

actually I believe it is mostly lexus, the headlights were adapted from the is300...

jk, but I am pretty sure that the tranny comes from some sort of eurovan, and is pretty much indestructible. I am sure you will be happy with your tc, they are very nice cars, its apples to oranges (I consider TC luxary coupe) and the srt-4 (sport compact) Test drive one and go with what your heart tells you.. The cobalt ss is pretty nice too...

Congratulations, enieft. I'd pick the SRT4 over the tC ANY DAY. A friend of mine has one. I installed his Injen shortram intake last week. It's so sexy. I'm not too fond of the seats, though. I guess I'm too big for them. When I drove it around (after the intake install), I kept getting reminded that my wallet was in my back pocket.

srt-4 is a very smart buy. I like the way it looks. Although i like the way the tC looks better, and with the tC you have more of a chance of being original since its a new canvas so to speak. srt-4 is very fast and fun to drive. Glad you enjoy your ride.

the srt-4 is an ok car i was going to get one but my employee discount did not work for any srt vehicles, the thing is a neon thats a fact, not a bad thing if you like them, i have a few friends that have them and yes they are fast , but turbo a tc and it will beat it, the srt-4 has horrible traction problems cant grip with out slicks, i know a lot can be done to them but i like my tc way more, well dont want to rant, good luck with the car take care of it and it wont brake down,
no matter what you get -get what you want,

My gf's dad got an srt4 around when I got my tC and he's planning on doing some crazy stuff to it. His car is fast as heck, but in my opinion, my car looks WAY better.

oh yea? what if I told you there were several people with over 70k on their cars and not one problem.... I hate when people like you try and contribute to a thread, what the hell are you basing your facts on? That would be like I bet the tc will fall apart by 70k because it is so inexpensive...

grrr.... stupid people suck.

i have seen many before but yesterday was the first time i ever heard someone take off and really get on the gas. those things sound mean as f***!
i'm not too crazy about the neon looks but i think i could get over that. it sure as hell doesn't sound or perform like one.

and i don't mean to sound like an ___ but...
he was probably basing his facts on dodge's horrible record as far as repairs/reliability.
the srt-4 is a sweet car but when it comes down to it i don't know if i'd trust a dodge (maybe on a lease)

i have been noticing this too...when i see other tC's on the road it almost a 2:1 female to male ratio.
so i am starting to classify it as a chicks car...
