I had one on my tC and I loved it...by far my favorite spoiler..I think it would look awesome on your car man

Scotty-tC 02-23-2011 07:53 AM

lovin the wheels bro! whats the size and offset if i may ask?

stinkysab 02-23-2011 07:17 PM

Im going to end up buying that spoiler. Couple of members on here have them and it looks freaken good. :)

Thanks. Wheel size are 17x9 +38 F, +28 R. I did not want to go too agressive. I just want a flush look. Im rubbing alot when i do full turns in the front. No rubbing in the rear, due to some modification. I think i have to sand down the fenders or something. I went with 215/45/r17. I should have went with 215/40/r17 tires That 5mm makes a difference. lol.

I have some updates of my retrofit. Please excuse these low quality pictures. I only had my iphone with me. My t1i was left at home. booo...

Here's how i mounted my projectors. s2000 projectors are in the low beam location and the tsx projectors are in the high beam location. I made sure the tsx's cutoff was aligned both horizontally and vertically before I added jb weld to the mounts i made. I wanted the projectors to be secured.

Attachment 64847

Here is the cutoff for the tsx. I did not do the color mod for these projectors. This picture was taken about 15 feet from the wall.
Attachment 64848

Here is the cutoff for the s2000. I did the color mod for these projectors. I added 1 #8 washer to each nipple. Has a nice magenta color, does not really show well in this picture. This picture was also taken about 15 feet from the wall.

All four lit up. :icon_razz: Looks good i think.
Attachment 64850

I was not happy with the outcome. I am going to have to respray the silver part. The masking tape pretty much peeled off the paint and made it look bad. Look at the edges and you will know what i mean.

I love the flat black! I think it went well with the silver.

I still have to add my non-replica e46 shroud to the high beam To finish it off. What do you guys think so far?

what about your turn signals lol?

stinkysab 02-23-2011 08:38 PM

I knew i forgot something.... lol. I will put the turn signal bezels in. This was just a quick snap of how it will turn out. I also forgot to put in the amber reflector. :)

Joyride 02-23-2011 08:44 PM

stinkysab 02-23-2011 08:58 PM

your retro fit came out very nicely. Is there significantly more light with both projectors on in distance wise? or their just brighter?

stinkysab 03-01-2011 04:15 AM

Thank you.

There is significantly MORE light for sure with both on or even with the one on. With both on, it has a higher intensity of light. Its like seeing in day time. HAHA.

Distant wise depends on how high the projectors are aim The cutoff was aimed accordingly to stock height, so its the same. The width is amazing... I can still see the cut off 3-4 lanes over on both side. The intensity of the light is kept through out the width. I love it.

I think I over done it with the quad. The s2000 projector performs well enough alone. I keep my lows on most of the time. I only use both if i have too.

I recommend to at least swap the 08+ projectors from the scion to the s2000 projectors or the tsx. So much better... i gaurentee it. If you have the extra cash, do the quad. Quads make the car look unique. :)

jaewrek 03-01-2011 04:26 AM

wow that looks awesome, I can't imagine the light output on that

pwee08 03-01-2011 04:30 AM

Well i will be swapping the stock 08+ projector with a TSX projector (wished i picked up a s2000) which i already have. I don't think i will be doing a quad i see it as just bragging rights because i think one quality projector is perfect...
Also i barely turn on my high beams.. I like how you painted the housing flat black i think i might do that as well

jaewrek 03-01-2011 05:01 AM

my mom just got an 04 tsx and her lighting is awesome, im jealous
