tc dash removal (gauges) -- how to?

just got my aluminum dash kit and am in the process of installing it. i'm really happy with it... gives off a really nice accent to the interior. but it's missing something. if anyone's seen tctuners.com's project tc and seen the dash piece in front of the gauges, i'm going for a similiar look by painting it. im sure the piece pops right out, but im not 100% sure of the correct way for removal. any tips on how to?

well, im going to get the carbon fiber dash kit, and anything else that's silver, im painting a glossy black, including the gauge trim, and the door handle trim. if anyone has seen the tctunerz project car, the gauge trim and the door handle trim is painted silver in those pictures, mine will be glossy black, to complement the black interior.

As for the removal of the gauge trim, just use ur nails, start with the left side at the bottom left corner of the trim, and pry out until its a little loose, then work your way to the right, along the top of the trim. You will have to move your steering wheel, turn signal handle, and wiper handle all the way down, to get the trim out. The trim is rather deep, so your going to have to just play around with it until its out.
