generally speaking yes awd or rwd is better but it all comes down to the driver, you could rally in a modded tc but id have to have some serious work,at least they already have the stance from the factory for it

Well, the Drift TC's are converted to RWD, so it's not like someone couldn't convert it to RWD or AWD, it just hasn't been done yet for Rally (that I know of).

FWD>RWD when offroad. Ask anyone what they prefer on snow or any slippery surface.

Well, I personally dont think it's out of the realm of possibility. Granted some AWD setups are good for that particular type of racing. (Rally) But doesn't mean you couldn't try it with a tC. Just remember that except for the AWD models that came to the street from Rally, that most cars built/used in a "full race" environment don't share a great deal of parts with their "street model" counterpart. (no flaming lol) yes there are acceptions, but in general they don't.

I think the Pikes Peak hill climb would be the perfect place to try it out.

tC would not be a good platform. Its has a long wheel base and is heavy.

I would think the tC would be pretty big and heavy for rally, but maybe after a serious gutting.

tc length - 174 in.

subaru wrx length - 180 in.

as for width the tc comes in 1 inch wider...for a second i was thinkin the same thing till i checked it out. the wrx sti's weight is alot more than the tc, varying from 3373 lb (1530 kg) to 3395 lb for a stock car. im not sure of the rally cars weight but im sure its probally 3000lbs

I think we got a great platform for a rally car..some reinforcement on the body and a better suspension would be crucial though, but every rally car needs that tho. only reason i came up with this was because I was driving down a dirt road the other day in my car and it seemed a bit more fun than usual, especially when I added a little more throttle lol didnt like having to clean the dirt out from inside the side skirts tho

I think ack154 did a rally event in his tC awhile back and took some videos..not like a hill climb event or anything though. I think it was just a rally cross event..still looked like stupid fun haha

I was saying it as compared to other FWD cars. Most of the FWD cars you see in rally and smaller, lighter, and pretty nimble. They don't have too much to throw around. The tC is the size of the wrx but has no power to the rear wheels. I'm just imagining that it'll be like a boat out there. But I could definitely be wrong here, I'm no rally expert.
