Default Thinking of purchasing a Tc

When I enter my senior year in highschool I will be needing a car to do running start at Edmonds Community College and I narrowed my choices down to a Tc. Currently I have 15k on hand and still saving. The only mods I would prob make are getting hyperground wires to get a better MPG. What are performance mods I should make and the brands that are recommended and brands that I should not touch. My notion of a tricked car is smooth quiet ride and super clean look maybe with a bkit like the Scion tC Viniati Fierce Lip kit and leather inter. My brother drives a lexus 06 GS 300 so I'm use to the smooth ride. Thanks in advance.

tc is decently smooth. i went from a 2003 4runner to a 2003 325i to a 2002 525i and now the tc. big difference but i like it.

You like the tC better than the 325i?

Uh... I have a tC myself, and I love it, but I've driven a 2004 325i around quite a bit, and there's just no comparison in terms of drivability. The BMW really is a "driving machine."

Don't get me wrong...I LOVE my tC.
However, it isn't the smoothest riding or quietest car out there. For the price, it kicks butt, but does not have the refinement of a Lexus.
Worry about smooth ride and refinement when you're old! Right now, go fast and have fun.....and look good doing it!
I wouldn't touch the plug wires or plugs. For some reason, Toyota's don't like anything but the plugs and wires that are engineered for them.
I get a vehicle in once a week that has aftermarket wires and plugs on it and it runs like crap, is getting poor fuel economy, or doesn't have enough power. Sometimes, we simply put the proper Nippondenso or NGK plugs back in it, and it's like new again.
I would check the forums for others recommendations on plug wires, but that's my 2 cents.
