I don't think i made a mistake. I followed this diagram for a previous alarm install.

and this is the harness i was referring to. Note the blue wire i was talking about. All the wires on this harness is THICK unlike the others.

 

Mines an '05, and I do not have those wires. The only blue wires I have go to the wiper control.

 

oh shoot. sorry man. i didn't know they changed the harnesses after 05. care to post what color and location of the wire you found?

You really dont need to grab the trigger wire from the ignition stuff. It is the closest, but you just need something that is on only when the key is on. just fyi...

 

i figured mentioning only 1 wire is less headache for those who aren't electrically inclined. and you can't go wrong with the ignition wire. plus, its the closest like you said so it keeps the install clean and simple.
