Tinting taillights turned out HORRIBLE.
I tried using the pactra r/c spray tint to tint my tail lights, and its just came out horrible. I did wetsand the lights and applied about 3 evenish coats with about a 10 minute wait between each coat. Maybe I needed more team inbetween each coat but anyways, after I was done they did look ok. Some orange peel, and I tried sanding that down to no avail, but the tailights did look OK, untell the blinker or brake lights turned on. With the light on you could see the imperfections clearly and the "dots" from the spray. It did not look even at all and the dots really killed it for me. Any ideas on what went wrong? Could I just go to a tint shop and ask them to tint my taillights say 30%?

Just buy overlays. People on here are selling them. And you can take them off whenever.

Well no pics since I took it off already, but it imagine in the Paint program, you take the spray can and the biggest spray range you can do, spray it once and thats what it looks like when the reverse/break/blinker light is on. It looks fine when the car is off, could be shinier but it looked bad when the lights were on.
Tint shops cant tint your taillights? Bats overlays dont have any cept for TYC lights I believe, well last time I chcked atleast.
