wow...i really can't believe this happened to me but the story goes...

i was on my way home from work tonight when i got a phone call and had to head back to give a friend of mine a ride from the restaurant. so i pulled into the parking lot of a bar on 108 and muncaster road at about 9 pm and turn around to head back into olney.

ahead of me, and i mean way ahead, not a car i was following into town for any amount of time, a blue 2nd gen honda cr-v goes into the left turn only lane at 108 and queen elisabeth and i roll by in the left lane, relatively following the speed limit (40 mph) when i notice behind me, the cr-v suddenly changes their mind and pulls out of the turn only lane and starts flooring it down the road towards me in the right hand lane. i glance over and wonder what is going on, maybe i know this person or something. he pulls even with me, i look over and see some kid, meanwhile the speed limit goes down to 30 mph and is a school zone when the cr-v driver honks his horn 3 times and then floors it! needless to say i'm not stupid enough to even pretend i am racing this guy, he pulls a few car lengths ahead to maybe..50-60 mph and turns on his flashers while i'm just amazed that this really happened.

of all the stupid people racing all the stupid things...to think i'd waste my gas and risk my life, my car and the lives of others around me to do a street race in the middle of olney, in a school zone, AND right around the corner is a montgomery county police substation. just asking for something stupid to happen.

anyway, i'm sure there is some kid posting on his honda forum about how he beat the pants off a silver tC with a CF hood right now while his stupid friends laugh.

People are dumb dude!!! In a CR-V too?? lol What was he thinking!?? Fail!! And he probabley did post up on a forum somewhere. There probably was someone recording everything too and it's going to show up on you tube.

yeah, i know. i mean one time, i went through an intersection, and a honda civic floors it to catch up to me and i thought, "oh gawd, what does he want?" but he actually just rolled up and gave me a thumbs up. i guess he liked my ride. but seriously, somebody racing me in a cr-v? wtf?

 

^^^that's the way almost every honda is around here and i just shak emy head and laugh; i had one (still not sure how he's driving with orange headlights?) i see weaving in and out of traffic alot, and the other day did same thing, got next to me and started revving and i just shook my head and flipped him off for being an idiot

i owned a cr-v. stock 140 hp i think. maaybe he was tryin to b funny. or drunk.

 

I know that when i had my STi people would try to race me all the time. If we were at a stop i would gun it doe like 5 seconds to make it seem like i was going to race them but i would just let off the gas before i shifted to 2nd. they would just take off while i would be driving normal.

 

heh I had a guy in a tercel chase me down and stop in the turn lane of the fry road exit (busy spot) and he actually got out of his car to ask me to race... He gave me his 'business' card just incase.
