Lightbulb VIP style wind deflectors

I never liked the tradition wind deflectors made by AVS and WeatherTech because they bulged outwards. When I saw the vip style wind deflectors up close on a friends xB2 the other night I knew I must have a set for the tC. I hope to start this topic up in order to generate interest while there is still interest in the 1st gen tC's so World Motorsports can look into getting a set for us tC owners.

In case nobody knows what I'm talking about...

VIP style wind deflectors seemingly flush no curve to them.

Might be heard to get that look since the XB's doors/windows site somewhat recessed into the body. Would be cool if they did have something like that however.

IDK about them in-channel like WeatherTech but stick-on like the xB2 posted yes. I'd be down for a set if priced right. I was thinking of switching my AVS in-channel for WeatherTech later on.

Thing with me is, I see the in channel's sticking a whole lot better then something stuck to the outside of the door. Its completely my own personal "fear" but w/e. Either way I'd watch for these.

Well if it's tucked close like posted above and you prep the area right before sticking on the window visor I don't think there'd be much issue. While I do like the in-channels I have noticed that my window has developed a rattle when half way down and have the music turned up with some bass. They may be slowly getting off track, and the windows don't go up/down as fast as before.

I think its possible to make those "vip-style" wind deflectors for the tC1 despite the long curvature of the front door windows. If companies are able to produce "flush" wind deflectors for cars with similar curvature, they should be able to do so for the tC1 as well. Take for example this Lexus GS430 that has curvature (I know the front window isn't as long as ours, but its just to get an idea).

I have Weathertechs on my tC1 right now, and the rattling is starting to get annoying. Its even noticeable when the windows are fully closed. It also seems like the inchannels are starting to de-rail the windows because they don't work as well as before.

That certainly cleans it up a bit. Although I don't know how nice that'd look on the tC. Even if it flows with the box, I fear it'd just look awkward (well more so than the weathertechs) on the tC.

I think the tC can pull it off, I would even be interested in wind deflectors of the same style for our rear passenger windows just to keep the flow going something weathertech and AVS or anyone else to my knowledge have ever done for the tC.

More Win!

I think it would look a bit out of place if a rear visor was included. Now that I think about it, most "flush" style visors seem to be only made for sedans.

I think it would work and look good even though I haven't seen a coupe with them.

Yep yep, the tC would look great with this style of wind deflector. The one's that bulge draw too much attention to the eye IMO.

am i the only one that thinks the difference is way to minimal?? the curving out on weathertechs allows air to flow into the window when its cracked down a little. if u get "hellaflush bro!" ones, wouldnt it just be way too close to the window and serve little to no purpose?

I dont think it would make that big of a difference. My windows are either open all the way of closed. The only time I need it cracked open is when it's parked on hot summer days.

true, i guess im just used to the curvature of the weathertechs cause it makes sense. for rain you can still keep your windows cracked and allow air to flow in with no water. smokers favorite invention haha
