Can anyone who had this done and covered by Toyota tell me what you found out caused the oil consumption on these vehicles. It was not just the 2ZAFE but also Camrys, Corollas,

Oil consumption was caused by a faulty design of the oil return holes on the pistons. Over time, they would get clogged up, preventing proper drainage of oil accumulated by the oil control ring on the downward stroke. Some oil would seep into the combustion chamber and burn away as a result.
