Exclamation Warranty Extension For Back Door Garnish on Certain 05-10 Tc & 04-06 XB

I really hope this is in the right area if it is not I'm sorry

My girlfriend printed this up today at work.

NO: POL13-01
3/13/13
Revised 3/21/13

Background
Scion has received some reports where the back door garnish my loosen. In certain cases,Continued usage of the loose garnish could result in breakage of the back door garnish.

Applicability

The Back door garnish is covered by Toyota new vehicle limited warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles(whichever occurs first) However, Toyota is announcing a warranty enhancement program for the back door garnish for 7 years from the date of first use with no mileage limitation or one year from the announcement of this warranty enhancement program whichever is longer, for the condition described above

You do need to verify ur VIN with Toyota . If you have replaced the garnish before and payed for it yourself you can also get a reimbursement with the repair order, proof of payment and proof of ownership.

Hope this helps

S**t happens.... The best way to avoid that..... I unlock my lift gate and lift it from the bottom metal part, bypass that plastic trim piece all together!!!! Worst design for liftgate ever, only TWO little plastic pieces lifting the weight of a metal liftgate.. PLEASE

I have a pedestal spoiler and use that to help lift it because my garnish already broke

Just be carefull... now your spoiler will start to get loose and you won't be able to tighten the bolts up anymore.

Thats a good fix

1) Use puncuation much? lol

2) there is an edit function on your post so you don't have to post multiple times to fix your errors.
