weird bang?
 

I picked up my scion a little over a week ago and on the second day i owned it, I got a weird bang from the rear right lift gate/ strut area. I think im gonna bring it to toyota to have them look at it, but does anyone else get this? It really is a pain in the ___ to listen to. Anytime i go over a bump its like a bang/clunk sound. And it stinks because i baby this car while my friends beat on theirs and no bangs! :(

Did your car jolt at all? Maybe a strut blew?

certain scions have their struts torqued incorrectly, take it to the dealership and get them to check the strut nut torque

I was thinking that maybe it was a strut. It sounds almost like a metal on metal bang sound. Its very hard to explain and only happens over certain bumps. Especially bumps with lateral movement. Im gonna bring it to toyota and have them take a look at it. Only 2 days after owning the car it happend :(

I wish I had a rear lift gate......cost extra?
