so a year ago I had my exhaust and Lojack installed in my tC..........they tossed my stock exhaust and refused to give me mine back.........so I said well.....ok ...........no problem......as I had no use for it anyway.........

Well today I got my Yaris back from the dealership from having my Lojack installed in my Yaris..........upon gettign it back I got this card to register it with Lojack.......so upon calling Lojack to register I asked them why I did not get this info from a year ago......for my tC..........so they searched and low and behold my tC is not registered with them as having Lojack.......

Well we called the dealership back and they have no record of the installer either.......yet I paid in full for it..........

So now I have a car with $8000 in mods and no way of tracking it if I get jacked.........my insurance agreed to pay in full any loss in case of theft with Lojack.............but now I find I have nothing...........

I am ____ed..........Dealership is gonna hear from us tomorrow........I want my exhaust and Lojack in motion cost free now for my risk.........I know it is a bit much but hey........they gauranteed the install and it did not happen.........they are responsible to check that crap..........

I will let you guys know how it goes........but if you have Lojack check with Lowjack and make sure the installer put it in and registered it or you are not covered........nor can they trace it without the Vin number to turn on your transponder.........scarey scarey........

 

man that sucks! i'd be ____ed too! make sure you have the receipt or some kind of proof that you paid and get them to install it! but no matter what, do not pay them again.

Yeah I have the receipt for the install.........paid in full......to Toyota dealership........sorry for the ...........my bad.......LOL.

 

If you have your original contract from the car...And it says you have lowjack on it...They have too install it.

 

?thats weird didn't you get the set up packet?blue file folder .and stickers all over it saying you need to complete the last step/and a bill of sale + someone give you a instruction on who to call
but why do you want them to pay for the exhaust? thats the way it is done in most places they take you old parts as a core charge

 

never had neew car or lojack or anything so did not know what to expect......got receipt for the exhaust install.........lojack install and a pamplet that told me about Lojack.......in ti it had a 800 number but never knew I needed to call to register........so never questioned it tillnow........

I bought the car and then 4 weeks later purchased the TRD........cost was like $400 and I requested the stock one back incase I ever sold the car..........well they tossed it and I was jsut being nice as my wife has me qupped and told me to.......sorry....

So now I feel they need to get it right and get me the stock exhaust I requested in writing upon bringing the car in to them........I paid for it with the car.......and paid separately for the TRD........

Lojack was 875. for 300 more you can get the early warning system. which I am going to demand. for now having my car for one year thinking I had it on for this long. Cindy

well.. i had an APEXi ground kit... dealership took it off because i had some problem... i didnt see that kit since........

i didnt told them that they could have it or keep it.......

My dealer wouldn't let me keep my OEM muffler; gave me reason of the box wouldn't fit in my car.

I think a forklift operator who loads trailers for a living who can load millions of product into a 53 footer. Packed in tight in puzzle.

Can also load a OEM muffler into a Scion tC too. LOL It's called folding down the seats then break down the box and place muffler onto the flatten box. Easy as pie!


They also tried selling me Lo-Jack...quite hard to use since State of Wisconsin doesn't use the system.

But I've been told by a car freak. When I say "Freak;" he can get any information possible. That if your car is stolen and you get it back; most times it in condition you probably wouldn't want the car anymore. He told me "You're better off letting them steal your car."

 

Dealer cost on lo-jack is about 250, so anything over like 300 your getting screwed.

I had lojack installed for $349 with the early warning notification. Maybe different cars cost different amounts...

 

Natioanl price of Lo-jack installed is 595...

 

Wellthey are installing it today......the dealership was not amused that it was never installed and got me upgraded to Lojack in motion for free......did not even ask for it........

they called the installer and he told them he did not work Fridays........they told him he might not work again I guess if he did not show up by 2pm.........so it is being put in right now for us and in the mean time they gave us a Flint Mica tC to drive till they get it all installed........which is nice of them........guess it willbe ready any minute......

found out that I got the exhaust at a discount and when they do that they send the stock one back to Toyota.......so guess that kinda sucks as I really wanted my stock one so I could swap out exhausts in between show so it does not get all tore up all year.......guess I gotta go on Craigs list and find one.......LOL

I guess the point of this post is for others that got Lojack like me for the first time and did not know better they needed to get a regitration card withthe system install or otherwise it was never installed.......scarey.......wonder how many people are driving around liek me not knowing it had never been installed.....
