Default What order would you do it in...

ok, so i havent taken delievery of my FM (hopfully) tc but i want to plan out my mods and try to stick to a schedule. i want to try to do a appx $400 (or close) mod every other month. the mor expensive mods (coilovers rims/tires) will take a bit more time as i will have to save/budget a bit more $$$ (duh) and as long as i stick to a schedule, i wont get caught up doing a bunch of little mods.

ive kinda always been from the school that you car should run better then staock before you mak it look better tehn stock. ie power/engine mods, then body kits. so i want some advice as far as what order you would personally do these mods in.

here is what i was thinking

1 (and this will NOT be changed) short throw shifter

1.5 grounding kit (its $75 for a retail kit see what i mean about little mods. they will add up in $$ quick)

2 cold air

2.5 short aentenna (btw where are some threads about this)

3 DC headers

4 DC exhaust

5 Hotchkis sways

6 tien coil overs

7 19" rims/tires

8 HID's

9+ sound system ( this is going to bee dine near teh back end of things as i have a lot of plans for this... like rip out the back seat plans... as well as a full multimedia CAR-puter)

and finally body kit. by this point there should be more kits out. i dont really like the ones that are out now. itll probably happen during the sound system install... as a b-day present to my self. from here itll be various accent mods like under-carriage lights, seats and

i know alot of this stuff is just personal pref. but i still want opinions. ive been out of the game for a while. i dont plan on putting on a turbo as this will be a daily driver, but i still want it to stand out. why else would i be here on the forums...
so any feed back will be appericated. also if you want to see this as it happens, chek out my blog... its in my sig. im gonna try to ahve writeups on every part as i think im going to do most of the work my self.

well thats why its one of the last mods im want to do. between the suspension and engine i should be able to keep myself busy till next year...then its the sound system... that will take a while as its not gonna be some box that i just throw in the trunk. and then there is the Car-puter...

im a IT geek by trade now. when i first got into the scene i was only in highschool. now that i know what computer tech is out there, this will by both very interisting and fun for my. on one had thsi is a growing trend in europe now, and slowly coming to the states. but imagine a fill fledged computer in your car... sync it with a personal server while parked at home via wifi. combine that with backing up dvds for personal use on you computers as well as the ever popular mp3 files... you have nearly unlimited entertainment as long as you have a hard drive... 30 days worht of music all on a 3.5 x 5 x 1 inch piece of hard ware... you cant really argue with that...

All we need to do now is get someone to build a hot spot across the entire contry. :-D That's when the carputer will truly be powerful.

or build a stomp box. what a stomp box is is basicall a reciever for the new highspeed wireless networks from sprint, cingular, and verizion. it all runs off os an embeded linux computer, and pcmica cards for evdo, gprs, and edge networks...its pretty cool.

Here is a link to a description to one. And here is the original project page though you could probably do something similar with a gps reciever and the microsoft mapping program. i forget what its called.

good im derail my own thread... NO MORE COMPUTER GEEK TALK!!!! BAD TEKSNO!!! BAD!!! think cars, t4 turbos, mythical trd super charger, tien supension, al. pullies, carbon fiber body parts,

ok im better.

BTW is any one making light weight pullies? or cam gears?
