hey guys since im new to the site i am having trouble figuring out what im going to do to my scion tc. i have already paintrd my stock rims black on my summit white. should i tint my windows 20%, lower it on trd springs, lower it on tein s techs, some type of exhaust and if so what type? Also is there a how to on how to take your interior apart so you can paint it? by the way my car is a 2008 and has 10k miles on it so it still has the warrenty! but i mean if i put tein s techs on what warrenty will it void just shocks right? any helpo guys would be great!

the only way it will void a warranty is if say the shocks messed up, and they could prove that is was because of the new springs that caused it. Just installing something doesn't void the warranty. i'm pretty sure theres a thread on that ^_^

^ Ya, a few.

He's right. Only warranty issue would be if the non-OEM part you install is proven to have caused a problem. That specific problem repair would not be covered by your warranty.

spray paint the cat black to match your wheels I would go with springs first. Tein makes a nice product. Just read up on product descriptions online to get the ride/stance you want. Then follow directions on install and you shouldn't have any problems. GL on your new TC.

The H-techs are more of a performance spring, the s-techs are more for show.

IMO the ride quality is better with the H's as well as the cornering capability. With the S's the car is dropped a lot more. It looks real nice on S techs though, so if you want performance go H techs. If you want to look amazing, but scrape a lot go with the S techs.

I thought H-Techs were more towards luxury and S-Techs were toward sport because S-Techs have a higher spring rate.

Suspension mods are always a good thing. Lowering springs and shocks (or coils), front/rear sway bars, front/rear strut bars, ingalls 4pt brace, wheels.

But if you're going more for looks: wheels, lowering springs, tint, and a lip/body kit

S: Style
H: Handling

If they have a higher spring rate, it's because the HAVE to being so low.

DO NOT paint your interior.

1. you're gonna kill the resale value
2. the paint will NEVER hold up, i dont care what kind of paint you use. Plus it's a 2008 you should be able to keep it clean.
3. if you're trying to get a different color interior, do an interior swap with another Scion owner or look in junkyards. Also look overseas they might have different interior options in the motherland.

I once painted my interior when i was 18.... i will never do it again, complete waste.

What do you mean paint wont hold up, if you use automotive paint and take car of it like your exterior paint it will hold up just fine. You have to wax it like you would the outside of your car. Now it will hurt the resale value

There is no motherland in regards to the TC. It is not sold in Japan as far as I know. I have seen one where a girl imported one and got tons of attention with it The chassis comes from a European based sedan and our powertrain is strictly camry oriented. Sheetmetal and interior are unique.
