BC Coilovers from Meng Motorsports
Hello everyone! I decided to go with something more beefy than my current set up which is the TRD springs/struts. Enjoy!

I ended up spending a little over 1k at Meng Motorsports but with California tax being a killer, I got a pretty good deal. Tony at Meng Motorsports can get you anything and I seriously mean anything! ( within reasoning of course
) for one hell of a good deal. Although it took about a week and a half for the coils to come in since BC was some what slow when Tony tried to contact them for a tracking number but in the end, he worked his magic and got a response!
The quality of the coilovers feel VERY sturdy as well as having some good weight to it. I am going to install the coils over the weekend and will give an update on the day of installation as well more pictures and also a review of the ride quality.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Installing these should be a lot easier than springs and struts I assume? I guess finding the ride height would probably be the most annoying part. The spring rates are about 450 in the front and 560 in the rear.
Meng Motorsports by far is the best company that I have worked with. Their customer service is well beyond excellence. Although some parts may take a while since they are made fresh from the factory. From what I was told, the Coilovers are assembled in Taiwan which is probably the reason why it took a little but longer to ship since it was fresh from the factory and most likely, the distributor for BC in the U.S probably didnt have any in stock. Also the parts they use to build the coilovers are apparently made somewhere else which I know sounds weird.
My brother has the same model ( BR Type ) on his G35 and I was really impressed which eventually had me sold. He usually keeps them around a level 8 or 12 for the damping setting but we decided to put it at level 20 and it felt like we were going to eject out of the roof, keep in mind that the highest level is 30. Although the spring rates for his car were more aggressive so that could of also been a factor but the quality of the coilover is what really convinced me to go with BC BUT! Reviews for the coils on the tC will be given on saturday so bare with me! I really want to installs these NOW but I have school and work throughout the week
This may not seem like a big deal but I wish I knew the height adjustment range and also I wish there was an electronic damping controller like the tein edfc but oh well, the fun part is finding out what suits the best for my preference

I was planing on getting mine straight from BC because I have already asked them a few questions. They have awesome customer service. I was going to get the 8k-f/10k-r which I think is what comes standard on them but he said he would put 6k-f/8k-r for no extra charge if I wanted to do that.
Watching, I have really been considering a set of these ever since my friend bought the BRs for his s2k, nothing but praises for him and alot of subie guys run this without compaints. and also looks like great quality, ive heard people compare them to tien ssp
cant wait for the install

In my opinion, I would say that the design of the BC coilovers is better than the SSP because the adjustment for the ride height is independent from the spring pre-load when compared to the SSP, if you adjust the ride height, you will mess with the pre-load as well. Not only that, BC has 30 levels of damping adjustment when the SSP has 15 or 16. I'm not bashing on tein or anything, I was always a fan of their products. Just thought I would try something new
Update 5/1/10
Hello everyone, coils are in but I finished pretty late since my brother and I had a hard time trying to get the rear strut bolt out but everything is in! Still making minor adjustments for ride height. I know I promised picture but after working all day then doing car work gets pretty exhausting. Pics will be posted tomorrow.

Like I promised, I have pictures! They were taken from my iphone so I apologize for the poor quality but enjoy!

Comparing the BC with the TRD

The mechanic who installed my TRD setup torqued the strut bolts WAY TOO tight so my brother had to loosen it with the breaker bar which took a lot of effort but he eventually worked his magic

I forgot to get a picture of the fronts installed but heres the rear

As for the ride quality, it rides quite smooth but at the sametime, a little stiff which I like. I currently have the damping setting at 8 all around but once I get my car aligned, I will crank up the settings and eventually drive the car in some what of an aggressive manner on turns. The springs still need to settle but I am more than happy with BC Coilovers. Everything fitted perfectly and it was a lot easier to install than I expected. The only pita was adjusting the car for the ride height that I wanted it. I can not compare the performance yet with the teins SSPs but with my next update, it will about the performance from the BC. Thanks for looking

Well the strut bolts are suppose to be torque to 170 so they are hard to get off.
look really good, defiantly considering getting these. That is like the perfect height for me. Can they go lower?

Thanks for the compliment! In the last picture, the coils are not on the lowest setting but I they can go even lower
Nice choice for the bc racing coilovers. I have them and haven't had any problems for the 8 months i've had em. Oh, I think wesellcarparts sell it for $999 shipped. You still got em for a good deal though. The bcracing brand have been positive in evo and 350z boards, so it shouldn't disappoint the tC either.
edit: Slam the rears. I have 17" wheels and it's barely tucking.

I agree with you about BC being positive with the other cars. My brother has them on his G35 and his car is a suspension beast!
Thanks for the tip! I'll probably lower the rears even more before I get an alignment which will probably be this week or so.
watching! Man, now that I have chosen these to use it seems like everyone is starting to get them lol. I didn't know the rear springs were shaped like that, wonder why they chose to do that.
