Default C-Pillar Bar (Pics)

installed a carbon fiber C-pillar bar today on the tC!

its not made for the tc, so i had to cut the panels in order to make it fit and still be able to have the side panels on. used a dremel that TCPete lent me, and wala!

good thing is that it doesnt block my rear view, and i could still put my rear seats up and have plenty of headroom.

na i could still put the rear seats up normally and theres plenty of headroom, trust me. i'll post some pics up with the rear seats tomorrow hopefully if i get a chance.

i didnt wanna get the megan one bcuz the megan will disable u from using the rear seats for sure. cuz it hooks up to the seat belt bolt.

Yeah... my whole rear assembly is coming out and will be gone... so it's not a concern of mine the the megan... I'm curious as to rear seat location... in a collision, you'd be amazed and where the body will go...

yea, will i mean anything could happen to the human body in a collision, whether its from the front, the side, the rear, etc..as far as the rear goes, i never have anyone in the back either way...but there is a fair amount of headroom...nice ride by the way...for the side marks, did u open the headlight up and paint it? or is it an overlay?

OK chiefs.... where are our install pics, and how-to's?

Location to buy this bar? which bolts it mounts too?

Curious... I'd strip it and have it painted BSP... but like how clean it is, and will add it to my to-do list with your guys's help!

Ill see if i can give you guys a HOW TO on this mod. and as far as the covering to help clean the cuts, thats a nice 50 cent secret ill keep until i get the DIY done. As soon as im done with my valve cover me and johnathan will get together to show you guys how I did it.

AND YOU MAINTAIN FULL USE OF YOUR BACK SEATS....you can tilt them all the way back and still have ALOT of clearance. So for the doubters ill take pics of that also.

thats a clean looking install. if you ever have to remove the bar, do you need to remove the trim to gain access to the bolts?

yea, u would need to remove the side panel in order to remove the bracket thats holding the bar. but thats a piece of cake, just a bunch of clips.

so easy to install. just a pain to make the holes for the panels. i used a box cutter though, so you know its easy

i do like how they used that black stuff to go around the edges where they cut
